What does BYU's move mean to USU?

The potentially huge move of BYU to join Utah State in the Western Athletic Conference for all sports except football might be the biggest story of the year … if it actually happens.

Such a move would dramatically change the landscape of college sports in the western United States.

And for Utah State and the WAC, it would be the biggest shot in the arm the conference has received since Boise State ran the hook and lateral play on Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

In Logan, Utah State might very well expect an instant increase in interest from boosters eager to open wallets to support a program that would be in the same conference as BYU for all sports but football while still maintaining a healthy rivalry in that sport as well.
