JC All-American visits USU

Utah State basketball coaches are playing host to high-scoring shooting guard Antonio Bumpus this weekend as the Aggies try to add another weapon to their arsenal in hopes for a fourth consecutive WAC title.

Bumpus is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting machine from Harcum Community College in Philadelphia. He played his high school basketball at Columbus, Ohio’s Eastmoor High and is a two-time third team JC All-American.

Bumpus averaged 18.3 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game, and made a school record 79 3point field goals. He also recorded 51 assists and 60 steals. The Bears finished 26-3 and ranked third in the final NJCAA Division I poll.

Bumpus finished his two-year career on the Main Line with 1,021 career points.

According to Rivals.com, Bumpus has a scholarship offer from Utah State as well as Binghamton with Drexel, Miami (Oh.) and the University of Ohio also showing interest.
