USU's DiLoreto's suspension
Promising — if for no other than he is 7-foot-1 — freshman center Anthony DiLoreto was arrested Monday for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
That’s is the reason behind his recent indefinite suspension and cold have long-lasting results. DiLoreto came to Utah State with two strikes against him already — having admitted to being involved in an attempted bank robbery in Wisconsin. The Minnesota native has very little room in USU coach Stew Morrill’s program for screwing up and this can’t be good news for his future as a basketball player.
As a citizen, if the charges are true, it could be much worse. Possibly getting booted from the team and from school may be the least of his worries.
Utah State administration officials declined to comment on the situation.
