It’s waaaaaayyyyy too early to have legitimate NCAA Tournament projections, but that wouldn’t be very fun, now would it?
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi — who both excites and enfuriates college basketball fans with his ‘Bracketology’ predictions — has already started doing the only thing he does and the season hasn’t even tipped off yet.
In his first set of projections of the season, Lunardi has Utah State as an 11 seed going up against Minnesota in the first round.
Take a look at this link here.
What’s a little interesting about this is if — and this hasn’t happened in a long time — Utah State gets past the Gophers, they’d be matched up against (most likely) Washington in the second round.
Should, under this bracket, the Aggies somehow get to the Sweet 16, they’d be playing in Salt Lake City’s EnergySolutions Arena against (most likely) North Carolina.
And you know the ESA would be rocking.
That said, this is just some fun early speculation. But it’s never too early to think ahead, right?
