Utah State has received a verbal commitment from a Los Angeles high school star that will make replacing Jared Quayle much less worrisome next season.
Vaughn Autry, a first-team all-CIF guard out of Gardena Serra High, pledged to join the Aggies in time for the 2010-11 season, the Los Angeles Times reported.
A 6-foot-2 playmaker, Autry averaged 16 points, six assists and three steals per game as a junior and will battle Jaxon Myaer and Brian Green for playing time at the point next season.
