BYU at Utah State: Setting the scene

Howdy boys and girls, Cougars and Aggies,

Romney Stadium is looking as good as it has in, oh, about five years. The stands are rapidly filling in and it’s mostly Aggie Blue we’re seeing — of course that doesn’t mean much since BYU adopted that shade of blue more than a decade ago.

We’re already seeing some trash talking from Aggie fans with their banners and signs. In the front row we’ve got a bed sheet with “BYU — Keeping ugly girls out of Utah State since 1888.”

Without commenting on the beauty of BYU coeds, I can vouch for the attractiveness of Aggie women — I married one.

It looks like USU will have a rare sellout — and should send a thank you card to the Cougars just for agreeing to pay a visit to Logan — and the conditions are ideal. What looked like threatening clouds have cleared and Mount Logan is showing off patches of coloron the north slopes of the little winkles in the hillside.
