Tonnemacher progressing slowly

By the time fall workouts begin, Utah State football coach Brent Guy fully expects to have center Ryan Tonnemacher at 100 percent.
Tonnemacher, who played in 759 offensive plays last year (fourth-highest on the team) underwent knee surgery and missed all of spring drills.
“Tonnemacher is doing better. He’ll be ready. We’re going to speed his conditioning up because he’s not been conditioning for so long,” Guy said.
Earlier this week, Tonnemacher was named to Phil Steele’s Western Athletic Conference Preseason Fourth Team, while last month he was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch list, which honors the nation’s top center.
Tonnemacher enters his senior season with a team-leading 24 consecutive starts.
